Dr. Tripp’s research and clinical interests have always focused on pain. Dr. Tripp has published specifically in the area of Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndromes (CP/CPPS & IC/PBS) over the past 5 years. Dr. Tripp was recently awarded the Canadian Pain Society Early Career Award (2008) and has been a Clinical Consultant as well as active researcher. Dr. Tripp completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Dalhousie University in 2000, joining the Department of Psychology at Queen’s University (Canada) shortly afterward and has been cross appointed with the Departments of Anesthesiology and Urology. He teaches courses in Health Psychology, Interpersonal Therapy, and Pain. Dr Tripp has also been awarded the prestigious Frank Knox Teaching Excellence Award in 2009 at Queen’s University and has been nominated for several other provincial wide teaching awards.
